The results are in, so I suppose it's safe to post this guy here now.
I carved this up for the 2010 Blizzard pumpkin carving contest
. The official art of Deathwing
struck me as a perfect subject for a jack-o-lantern, so I went ahead with that. It's comprised of one pumpkin stacked on top of another, with a hole drilled in between them to feed the rope lights through, which I used to illuminate the whole thing.
I completely lucked out on this one, and made it to the top 5 this time around as opposed to the last time
I entered. I'm shocked, excited and dumbfounded all at the same time. It's extremely fulfilling to see your name and your city on a website next to a piece that you created, and that someone thinks it's worthy to be up there.
Sadly, the poor fellow didn't quite make it to the holiday. It was with a heavy heart that I had to condemn him to the dumpster last night. I tried to save him, but there's a reason I hardly ever carve pumpkins more than a couple of days beforehand.
That aside, huge thanks to the judges at Blizzard!
Happy Halloween, folks!
